I m working in CFD company which provides the solution for turbomachinery industry. Recently I have been assigned a task to study the different Sotwares for Turbomachinery CFD( we are using Fluent). Can any body tell me the best software for turbomachinery CFD in terms of : 1. Price 2. convergence speed 3. memory requirment 4. modeling the bypass flow with fan and core compressor 5. turbulence model 6. Meshing 7. turbo specific post processing. Regards |

CFX is traditionally strong in turbo and with turbo grid update going into workbench, this has got to be the best option.

Yes CFX is best for turbomachinery. If you look into history of CFX you would understand why?

With CFX, you will able to perform the major problems within your company with less 10% of deviation (only in fluids domains, CFX didnīt give me good results for solid domains on transient heat conducting).
