Default diffuse fraction

hi,

I'm working with the radiation model DO. In the boundary conditions, you have to give a diffuse fraction. This is default 1, which means that all the radiation is reflected diffusely. If I change this diffuse fraction to 0.5, the result is that everything is cooling down below my initial temperature. There is no cooling source, only a irradiation beam. Any idea what can cause this cooling?

thx, Tine
