Dear All,
We are suppose to simulate a steam flow through a turbine inlet casing under high pressure (70 bars) and high temperature conditions. Critical is that we want to determine the temperature profile in the casing and the solid region that surrounds the casing. The first question is whether Fluent is capable of simulating a real gas flow like steam? Also, we want to do a conjugate simulation where the effect of the temperature of the steam will be investigated on the solid walls surrounding it. For the boundary conditions, we want to look at a pressure inlet and a pressure outlet. Can this be done in Fluent? If anyone has used fluent for such analysis, we will be glad to know. If not, any idea what other software will be good for doing this? Thanks for your help in advance. Jimmy |
