spinning Golf Ball

Hi, I'm looking for cfd software to create flow models of a spinning golf ball. Is Fluent the best software to do that? I would like to know where my limitations of aerodynamic calculations are in my special case (Cd, Cl, local Re).

Thanks!

Fluent can do this for you but for external aerodynamics there are some special considerations. To achieve a high accuracy, main point being the drag co-efficient, you should aim to set up the B/L so that you resolve down into the viscous sublayer (y+=1) and then use a low Re turbulence model. Prediction of Cl is pretty good. By resolving into the viscous sublayer there will be no Re effects.
