Set up DPM before or after iterating?

If I want to analyze the particle tracking through a model, should the DPM settings and injections etc be set up before I go through the iterations, or does it not matter?

Thanks.

By the way just for clarification, I'm not interested in the results "during" the simulation, rather just what they are once the system converges.

It depends if you are interested in the interaction between the fluid and particle phase or not. If you want to model the interaction then you need to track particles during the fluid iterations. If you just want to see particles trajectories through the gas flow without interaction then you can setup injections after the simulation.

Perfect thanks. Yeah I just want to see how they flow in the stream, they're inert particles.

Hi Ejaza,

I'm simulating the secondary clarifier, in which the volume fraction of solid is to less i.e. 0.4% and i want to know the flow behaviour of the particle will u sujest me the proper guide line about the mesh and model to be used , i'm using DPM model but the paricle are distributed. is there any necessity to set the injection.

regards, amol
