Hello,
Can anyone tell me how to produce an XY plot of velocity and distance at differing phase angles for a temporally varying system? Any help appreciated, thanks. |

Hi
You can do this using the: Solve-->monitors-->surface. Regards AAA |

Thanks for the pointer.
I have been able to study the temporally varying Y velocity at given points on the Y-axis using this technique, however, I would like to be able to produce a complete velocity profile for the centerline emanating from the jet orifice at given phase angles. Setting up points and studying them individually would prove extremely time consuming, is there any other method of doing this? Thanks |

Hi
You can create a line/rake for this task. Go to Surface--> line/rake. Doing so, you can examine results at specified lines. Also, creating an iso-surface along the centreline might be feasible too. Regards AAA |

Hi
yea, I have produced a line to take my measurements on, however, if i monitor Y velocity against time steps it gives a single value calculated as an average for the whole line, rather than a value for every grid node along the line which would show a profile along its length at each time step, which is what I require to study the velocity at given phase angles. Thanks |
