Problem importing iges file to Gambit

Hello guys I am trying to import several iges files from ANSYS to Gambit but only points(vertices) can be imported, although volumes exist in the iges files. Same files when imported as iges back to ANSYS (multiphysics 9.0) work properly with volumes being visible and existing. What could be the problem that GAMBIT does not recognise volume and areas but only points (I have tried both NATIVE and SPATIAL translation of iges file during import)? GAMBIT vesion 2.2.30.
