Large domain: split zones and import BCs

Hi

Analyze large fluid domain sometimes collide with computational resource avaible. A possible solution is to split the domain in sub-case, but the problem is only shifted forward: in particular I have read in fluent user guide the possibility to import/export Boundary Conditions. May this can resolve some stationary analisys, but what about transitional analisys? It's possible to save N BCs files, say one for every timestep of the unsteady problem, and to reuse these files maybe with a journal file that read incrementally BCs for every timestep.

What do you think about this problem and this possible solution?
