Wall boundary conditions for 3d-cylinder
I defined a simple 3d cylinder geometry in fluent. The wall temperature boundary conditions are defined by profiles T=f(x,y,z). z is the height of the cylinder. Now fluent is interpolating on the basis of a cartesian coordinate system and gives not the right temperature field. The temperature should be the same at the peripheries at the cylinder wall and only vary with the height z. Is there a way to define a 3d cylindrical coordinate system just to interpolate the boundary values in the right way?

you can also write UDF for defining Temperature profile for boundary condition.....
Both methods are right...as long as ur getting right answer....
