Absolute pressure...pls help

Hi,

I'm now doing the Fluent tutorial "Modeling unsteady compressible flow" and the Operating Conditions was set to be 0 Atm.

It claims that any input pressure will be in terms of Abs. pressure. At the pressure inlet, the Gauge Total Pressure is set to be 0.9 atm. Does the 0.9 atm mean 0.9 bar (abs.)?

Thanks for any help

Hiya, Absolute Pressure = Operating pressure + Gauge Total Pressure. So, in your case, yes, 0.9 atm is 0.9 atm (abs.)
