I'm analysing an airfoil with different angle of attack. So I open one study for each one. But, how can I compare the results of the different studies? I mean, if I want to display velocity contours for each one, I have to read its case & data.

Hi...
I think there is no way, you could read multiple data files in single shot...... But you could write a journal file to read case and data file and same profiles for each file....and save it....and compare it..... or you could write xy plot (using journal file again)....for airfoil and compare it in fluent by plot>data from file...or read data in excel sheet and you could prepare very nice plot in excel...that is what I do....cause Fluent Plot is crap...for report or document.... Best of luck..... Umesh |

But what is a journal file? Could you tell me how it works? Or if it's hard to explain here, could you tell me where I can get info about it? Thank you very much for your answer

hi... journal file is set of commands for fluent...which are u can type in TUI(text user interface).....
It is not defficult to learn it....you can learn through fluent manual.... Best of luck |

To compare the results of the different studies, i think the better way, in your case, is to make graphics of pressure in the airfoil surface. In plot menu, chose xy plot and write/save the plots as "name".xy files. When you run the other case you can make the same graphics and put two printers on top making Browse to load the data saved before (name.xy).

Thank you very much. I will try it next week, now I'm away home. You'll have news about it. Thank you
