Are boussinesq flows inversible?

For example, if the dimensions and temperature difference was the same, would you get the same flow patterns for a vertical hot plate in a cold room as you would a cold plate in a hot room, only upside-down?

would not the pattern be opposite in the two cases? Apart from dimension and temp diff there is gravity which matters too I believe.
