Melt Front Tracking in Transfer Molding

Please help me!!!

I have use the VOF model for 3D transfer molding simulation project. I just focus on the plastic material when it is press in to the mold. it is only have 1 inlet and 1 vent to make the air going out from the mold when the plastic press into mold. But in the contour, plastic phase doesn't show the melt front tracking.

Is't the VOF model is suitable for transfer molding simulation??

SETTING in Fluent:

Solver-implicit-unsteady-1st order implicit. what is the function for Non-Iterative Time Advancement???

Multipahse-VOF-Implicit. which VOF scheme is better for transfer molding simulation???

I set the phase 1= air, phase 2= plastic. is't correct???

Gravity is applied at Z direction, it is the vertical direction in the model.

Boundary conditions, inlet= pressure inlet-normal to boundary outlet= pressure outlet-normal to boundary wall= stationary (when i applied temperature to the mold wall, it's seem no effect to the phase)

Solution control-flow & volume fraction are selected and applied as default setting

initialize-compute from (default)

Patch-plastic phase, volume fraction, i have set it to 0.1 (not from 0)

initialize- time step 0.001, and number of time step 20

PLEASE HELP ME CHECK THE STEPS WHETHER CORRECT OR MISS SOME IMPORTANT STEP.

What is the ADAPT function in Fluent???

What type of Faces and Volume meshing are the better choice for VOF model??? It is because the complex mold (include core) have the meshing problem.

Regards,

Alex
