2D periodic from ICEM to FLUENT
Hey all,
I have a problem when loading a ICEM mesh into Fluent, It is a 2D tranlational periodic grid. I get the following error: Building... grid, Warning: Inappropriate zone type (periodic) for one-sided face zone 15. Changing to wall. Warning: Inappropriate zone type (periodic) for one-sided face zone 16. Changing to wall. Error: FLUENT received fatal signal (ACCESS_VIOLATION) 1. Note exact events leading to error. 2. Save case/data under new name. 3. Exit program and restart to continue. 4. Report error to your distributor. Error Object: () I can't seem to get it right... Any ideas on what i might be doing wrong? I set the periodicity in ICEM and the periodicity check tells me there are no problems. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this. Thanks! Markus |
Re: 2D periodic from ICEM to FLUENT
I actually managed to correct that error, by redefining the periodic zones in fluent with the grid/modify-zones/make-periodic command. Somehow the ICEM export seems to mess up the periodic definition, or I might be doing something wrong there.
