Comparing convection and diffusion in fluent

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can help with this... I've got two streams separated by a solid. To reach the solid boundary, the bulk channel flow must pass through a porous region. I'd like to compare the solutions when Navier-Stokes is solved normally to that when the transport in the porous region is by mass diffusion only. The channel flow will is is solved by Navier-Stokes in both cases... I'd be greatful for any input on how to implement this. I've tried setting the velocity values in the porous regions to zero, but I get an erroneous, albeit stable, solution. Anyone have any ideas out there? Thanks, Emmanuel |
