Hey to all I tried to plot a point at the end of a 3D pipe I want it lying on the bottom of the pipe hence I select the coordinates of the point as (16,-0.025,0) when I press create it tell me surface creation failed ? Why? Can anyone tell me where is the error with this? Note that coordinate of my geometry as bellow: x-coordinate: min (m) = -1.530758e-018, max (m) = 1.600000e+001 y-coordinate: min (m) = =- 2.500000e-002 , max (m) = 2.500000e-002 z-coordinate: min (m) = -2.500000e-002, max (m) = 2.500000e-002

Try putting the point just inside of your domain rather than right on the boundary...

(16.0001, -0.0249, 0)

Something along those lines.

Good luck, Jason

Are you having trouble creating a point anywhere in your domain, or are you just having a problem when the point is near the boundary?

Have you tried making a point somewhere else in your domain? Fluent may be having a hard time because the coordinates you list are right on the boundary condition. Try making points somewhere else in your domain, and if those work, try making points near the coordinate you want, and slowly move towards the point you want until you find out where it's failing.

Try a bunch of points, like the middle of your domain, and then move towards the point your actually interested in. From the coordinates you listed and the extent of your domain, it sounds like you're moving towards a corner which could be a problem. You might not be able to get the exact coordinates you want, but you can probably get close.
