Defining Rotor Zone

Hello

When defining a rotor zone does the rotor zone need to be a seperate volume?

I have a cubic domain in which I want to model a rotating cylinder. Do I need to make a domain then subtract the cylinder shape from it to be able to have a rotor zone (cylinder) as a seperate volume inside?

Thanks

yes you have to isolate your rotor zone (volume) not with substracting, but with spliting. The 2 volumes (stator - rotor) shoudn't be connected if your work with moving mesh.
