Swirling flow

Hi all I am simulating a highly swirling flow using RSM but without success. I followed all the advices proposed in Fluent doc. Can anyone tell me what are the requirements for such a case? Thanks

Can i do a question? What kind of flow are you studying?

Re: Swirling flow

I am studying the flow inside a hydrocyclone. If you need any additional information do not hesitate to ask. Regards

Re: Swirling flow

I have simulated a compressible flow with strong swirl (swirl number higher than 0.8) with FLUENT. Convergence with RSM is really not easy. I have started with euler equations after RNG k-eps. with Swirl correction and so RSM with linear closure. Velocity convergence has benn very low...think only about 11.000 iterations on t 5000 cells (i have used an axysimmetric model)
