I hope you will help me!!!! I'm modeling a reactor formed by a number of tubes link with an elliptic bottom. I draw tubes and bottom with gambit but I have a problem with the surface of contact of these two zone!!!!How can I say to gambit that the end surface of the tubes and the base of the bottom are a kind of interior surface?????

Hi,

You can define these surfaces as interior boundaries later after you have created the mesh.

I did so but when I read the file .msh in Fluent I have an error message which tell me that I can't define that surface interior. There are some limitation about the use of interior boundaries?

hi,

you split those surfaces with the bottom surface..and maintain single face between them..then only..there will be a node to node connectivity..then you dont have to specify interior itself..it will be automatically considered as interior.

i having similiar problem also. But there is alot problem on creating single face between them. It will be very hard to do this in Gambit.

My stupid method is to make this 2 zone combine by intersect them and unite. for sure u will need to extend the surface/solid to make it intersect first. This method only able to do on real surface/solid.

I not sure is that any other better tips to make 2 surface/solid touching each other combine?
