Hi all,

I have the following problem I am trying to simulate the flow on square block using k-epsilon turbuelnce model

I have inlet velocity to be 1.5m/s so that with the turbulent intensity at inlet to be 0.5% and the hydraulic dia 0.2 m

its a 2d case where in I am gettting the following error

Divergence detected in amg solver x-momentum after few iterations

time step I have given is 0.00066

any suggestions

and one more question regarding gambit meshing immediately after grid check in fluent says that grid has high aspect ratio and asks us to turn on the high aspect ration computation using text mode? any Idea regarding this

thanks

hi

mesh is the problem..check the skewness of mesh..if it is more than 0.97, divergence may occur.

remesh it again..and try

As Jay points out, inadequate mesh resolution may be the reason. Please try doubling the number of cells.
