Hi Friends,

I want to mix air along with dust particles can some one give me tips how to give input for dust particle of some micron size.

With regards, CL

You should use DPM model with dust particles injected from inlet boundary surface.

Re: How to Define Dust Particle

Hello CL, Refer to the Fluent Help for discrete phase model. Jump to solid particle injection. Specify the origin of the dust particle: diameter (or dia distribution), (rel.) velocity, point/surface/(coordinates for a group of particles) etc. There is a tutorial for coal injection is also available with the Help. You can ignore non-premixed combustion part. Best regards.

Hi

Can anyone of you please tell me from where i can find the tutorials for DPM group injections. Actually i dont know how to specify the injection type "group" as not much information is provided in user guide.

I am simulating coal particles with swirling air motion.

I will be very much grateful for your help.
