Hi Dudes,

I have an 2d rectangular model, in which i have splitted it into 3 regions, I have to mesh the three regions separately with different mesh size. So whether i have to use interface in between these regions. Pls give me ur suggestions.

With regards. Abi

yeah u hv to use interface.coz the common edge in the 3 regions will hv the same interval size which will prevent u from using different interval sizes.

interface is used when u want different interval sizes in the same geometry and an edge or face is common to 1 or more parts that u r meshing.

if u hv any further doubt, feel free to contact me.

u cannot give different interval sizes to the same face/edge.

at least my experience tells me this.

i am also not vastly experienced in cfd,but whatever of gambit i hv used i think this is the case.
