For use the k-e model, i must regulate specific regulations or it use such as other model of turbulence?

I do this question because i have a hydrofoil and when i run it with steady state(many iteration) and the k-e model i take as result only small swirls front of hydrofoil instead to take the normal distribution of pressure and velocity on the up and down section.
