relation for yplus and heat transfer

Hi, Can anyone help me in understanding what would happen to the heat transfer prediction if wall yplus is above 300 for standard 2 equation models? whether it will predict more or low value?

Thanks

Re: relation for yplus and heat transfer

For accurate computation of wall fluxes(Heat flux etc.) computation smaller yplus is required. it varies with turbulence models. for example with spallart allamaras model it can be either less than 10 or more than 50. for higher yplus u may not get the accurate heat transfer predicition, inviscid fluxes are not affected by yplus. Further details u can find in manuals.

Thanks Amit, if i choose large yplus, say 350 in 2 equ model. whether it will overpredict or underpredict the result?
