surface combustion

Hi everybody. I'm a new user of Fluent and I would like some advices. I want to burn a solid material (e.g. plastic, wood) and I don't know how to define the problem. I suppose that it is necessary to settle on a reaction between air and solid material. How can I start the combustion. I would appreciate your help.

Re: surface combustion

you will have to define a surface reaction for the combustible material in the particle assuming you decided to use the discrete phase model.

dear aas, I would like to thank you very much. I will have to use the air (O2) as oxidize with very low or zero inlet-velocity and high temperature?
