Default virtual or real flow volume for wind tunnel?

hi all

i'm trying to model air flow over a trapezoidal thin plate in a wind tunnel. to aid in the meshing of volume near the thin plate, i have divided my flow volume into 8 rectangular volumes. some of the internal faces were not referenced as any boundary types in gambit and were referenced as WALL by dafault in gambit. this resulted in unrealistic results in fluent.

am i required to create these volumes/faces/vertices of the flow volume as VIRTUAL or REAL in gambit?

thanks

the following is the message shown when i read the mesh into fluent:

Reading "J:\FYP-URECA\gambit trapezoidal\CURRENT\10jan.msh"... 977935 nodes.

55890 mixed wall faces, zone 3.

8360 mixed wall faces, zone 4.

16900 mixed symmetry faces, zone 5.

4950 mixed velocity-inlet faces, zone 6.

4950 mixed pressure-outlet faces, zone 7. 2752155 mixed interior faces, zone 9. 932500 hexahedral cells, zone 2.

grid, Note: Separating wall zone 4 into zones 4 and 1.

trapezoidal_plate -> trapezoidal_plate (4) and trapezoidal_plate:001 (1) Removing 160 unreferenced faces, zone 1. Removing 200 unreferenced faces, zone 3.

Warning: Number of nodes read (977935) does not match number referenced (977758). Resetting counter to match the number referenced.
