Adapt mesh and F_CENTROID

Hello, when I adapt mesh in fluent (hanging nodes) and try to use F_CENTROID macro in a UDF after, I have a memory problem. Has someone already meet this problem ? If yes is there a solution?

Thanks

Pifou

Hi!

grid adoption in fluent with hanging nodes results in a very big number of cells and that causes your memory problem.

Unfortunately, fluent halves the cell in EVERY direction when adapting with hanging nodes. So you have times 4 cells in 2D and times 8 cells in 3D.

I had that problem as well.. wishing, that there would be a possibility to adapt only in one direction.

best wishes! Ralf
