negative volume

hi all i am getting a negative volume in an unsteady state simulation of a bearing air-gap. i am using a cg motion udf for a shaft.

whats the remedy?

smaller time steps would work but after some iterations it would again come with negative volume so just check your mesh and also the geometry before u do the problem..but try using smaller time steps it would work atimes.. regards hari
