Mass Transfer
 

Dear All,

I got a simple multiphase (VOF, volume of fluid) problem:

my domain is x=[0 to 0.01] m and y = [0 to 0.0001] m (rectangular)

my initial fluid is water (primary fluid, rho = 1000)

my secundary fluid is steam (rho = 1)

I got mass-transfer from water to steam in the region [0.004 < x < 0.006]

When I run the simulation, I see the vapour appear in this region due to the mass transfer, but I also expect the domain where the vapour exists to become larger due to the density difference. This is not the case.

Has anybody an idea to overcome this?
