I'm running Fluent 6.3 via batch commands on a supercomputer. I ran a few simulations before I restructured the location of my folders on the supercomputer thus moving my .dat and .cas files to a new location. When I go to run the simulations I get the following error:

Quote:
Error: sopenoutputfile: unable to open file for output
Error Object: "/home/flc/fluent/les_cavity/massflow-in.out"
The location where its looking is the old location of the files. How can I update my fluent files so that it knows where to look for the monitor files? Thanks in advance.

Hi Forrest

When you go into the monitor menu then you probably have the path given like "/home/flc/fluent/les_cavity/massflow-in.out" in your case. Its best to take all the paths out and just leave "massflow-in.out". Fluent will then write the monitor files to the directory the *.cas file is in or add data to existing files. That way you can move the files easily between different folders....

regards
