melting process for a pure substance

Dear all,
I need to know what are the solidus temperature and liquidus temperature for a pure substance??? Since beta is defined by (T-Ts)/(Tl-Ts), so if I use Ts=Tl=Tm, I will face to dividing bye zero. So what should I do?
regards
