dear all,

I have a strange problem.
I cannot activate the Tecplot in export window when I use File à Export.
The Tecplot seems to remain deactivated !
Its a 3d double precisison case.

Why is this so ? With other cases files, I do not have this problem and can export easily.
Can someone please help ?

Thanking you.

well, i got the answer and posting it here.
Tecplot cannot process for polyhedral or mixed cells (which was my case). so in that you have to rely on other softwares.
this is mentioned in the User guide of Fluent.

Fluent's Tecplot export capabilities haven't been updated in several years. Have you tried using Tecplot's native Fluent loader - versions since Tecplot 360 2008 support n-faced polyhedra.

Sure. First, select the File -> Load -> Fluent data loader:

Select your files:

Do some plotting stuff:

By the way, in the Tecplot installation directory under ?/doc/tecplot/tpgs.pdf is a tutorial using a Fluent crutcher example. (In the one above, I used a polyhedral dataset to show you the mesh.) The layout for the tutorial is in ?/tutorials/internal_flow/internal_flow.lay.
