gambit meshing

When i was doing unstructured meshing with interval size 1.5 for a complex model i have an error named Initialization failed perturbation error., what does this mean and how to solve this problem, cheers

Try to review the geometry... do not mesh all edges with one and the same interval size

hello
you can first check the topology and geometry of your model with Gambit.

Meshing a complex geometry with structured grid is not automatic.
You have to split (divide) your domain in several simple volumes which are easily hex-meshable

thanks

We have mainly used two main volumes for a complex geometry ,one for the fluid flow path and other for the solid region, i don't know how to separate this volumes to simple volume, whether to retain all the small volumes or to do any splitting, thanks for ur reply

Is the solid domain a part of the computation? (conduction, etc..)
If not you, then have to substract the fluid domain from the solid one.
Splitting operation is quite simple. Basicaly you create a face and split the volume with the face.
