Hi everybody,
How we can see the interaction interface between two different phases in Fluent. For instance, we have two different sandy and water phases and we want to see the interface layer after running the program( I mean the amount of scour)?

Have you created the interfaces in the first place? Also, what multiphase model are you using? VOF?

Dear Vidya, I am trying to model the amount of scour at bridge piers, but I do not know which method I should apply and how? in you have any information about this subject please help me to run my problem, You see that at bridge piers we have at leasth two different phases , first is water phases and second is sandy phase and I want too see the interface layer between this seperate phases.scencerely yours.

Dear Votavato,

I'd think that you also have to use the Volume of Fluid (VOF) multiphase model for your problem. I am also woking on a two-phase fluid flow situation where there are air and fluid phases. The fluid phase is actually a mixture of sand and slurry. I am using the VOF model for modeling the problem. You could probably try this one. This model also tracks the interfaces.

Let me know.

Dear Vidya,
thanks alot because of your caution, I saw an article about my problem the title of which is '' Numerical Investigation of Scale Effects on Local Scour around a bridge Pier'', in this paper the writer has used from Eulerian method, I am interested to learn it at the condition he has used in that model, unfortunately I couldn't find his Email address , if possible give me your email to send you the properties of my model an its situation.
scencerely yours,Amir
