mesh file
 
This was a simple question to many, i was having only mesh files for some designs and i have to modify it for some work, i have to get dbs file format out of msh file, Will it be possible ? Or to open msh file in Gambit.If yes give me some step by step approach. Thanks in advance. CFD groups cheers.

Hi,

You can import a mesh file in Gambit : File>Import>Mesh... and then chose the right solver, 2d or 3d and browse your mesh file. If you want to change the geometry you may have to delete the old mesh before.

Thanks for your answer but after the details of mesh, it need gambit,fluent5/6, etc what i have to opt in that part, thanks once again

I don't really understand what you mean but:
- if you talk about the option before importing the mesh under Gambit then choose the solver you used before
- if you talk about the option after remeshing your geometry, then choose the solver you'll use.
