Multiphase Turbulence: K-E per phase
I am confused about the different turbulence models offered by fluent for multiphase flow. I understand that k-epsilon per phase solves the k-e equations for each phase, but i dont understand if this is redundant if the granular temperature balance is turned on. What is different about solving the granular temperature balance the the k-epsilon for the particle phase? Is the k-epsilon per phase method only suitable for non-granular flows? Does the granular temperature balance have a term that accounts for the effects of turbulence of the primary phase?
*i am solving a dense granular phase interacting with a turbulent jet.
