Linux distros that work great with Fluent 6.3 on Intel PCs

Hi there,

I'm familiar with the list of supported platforms for Fluent 6.3 (SLES 9/10, RHEL 3.0/4.0), but surely there must be others that work just as well.

I ask because these supported versions are relatively aged and have "old" versions of other software (Firefox being an obvious example). It would be good to be able to use something like Ubuntu or OpenSUSE, etc.

I want to know which Linux distributions users of Fluent 6.3 have successfully employed themselves, including for the compilation of user-defined functions.

For completeness, I have a dual-core Pentium with 4GB of RAM, and my application is the modelling of turbulent, buoyant emissions from buildings.

I've used 6.3.26 with no issues on Ubuntu (Jaunty) and Fedora Core 4.
