Hi all,

I am new to Linux and tried to install Fluent on it. I had done everything mentioned in the installation guide and the CFD-online forum as well but I am still unable to run it. For example, I first install the .sh file using sh command then added some lines in the .bash_profile file. I have installed everything in the home directory. But now, when I type fluent in the terminal window it says fluent is not a command.

Can somebody pls help that where am I making a mistake or whats the problem?

Regards

Hi Shamoon,

the fluent executable is probably not in your path. You can change the path to include the directory where fluent is found (search the internet on how to do this!) or type the fluent command from the command line including the full directory (something like ./fluent-6.3.26/Fluent.Inc/bin/fluent)

Good luck!

Wiebe.
