question about particle track

1 Attachment(s)
Hi guys, I am new to FLUENT and I met the following question. hopefully someone can give an answer:
I am simulating water being drained out of a container which has a hole at bottom. I tried to put a tracer particle (using injections) at the initial liquid/air interface(on the liquid side), however, at later times, for example 40seconds, the particle is not following the liquid, it's up in the air! a sketch is shown below.
so my question is
1)dose the particle track suitable for TRANSIENT flow? all I have done with it are for steady flow.
2)if the transient flow is supported, what is my problem?
Thk in advance.

Particle tracking

Hi,

I donot know in detail how the particle tracking works in fluent, but try with increasing the number of steps in the particle tracking window in Discrete phase model settings
