How to animate the air flow patters inside a cylinder
 
Hello to everyone. I simulated the air flow patterns in a big cylinder. I don't know how to animate it. Can any one help me. Thanks in Advance.

You can do it using Scene animation. Plot the pathlines at increasing steaps. (100, 200, 300 etc) and define each frame as key frame. Once you are done defining key frames, save it as mpeg. The fluent manual has scene animation which explains this (If my memory serves right).

If you want to see steady one, then you need to use Pathline:
Display > pathline> particle ID

but if you want to see unsteady flow animation first go to :

Solve > animate> define > select number of sequence > change Iteration to time step

> again define > now select one of the Display Type


Afterwards, go to Solve> iterate> select number of Type step


finally, when iteration finish, go again to Solve> Animation> Play back > and watch and enjoy ;)
