Injection/Droplet--urgent help needed THNX

hello there,
I have a small question which i cant seem to figure out after looking at various tutorials. I have designed a air plane cabin, need some help with some parts of simulation 3 rows of 3 chairs each. Small gap between chairs is also accounted for. I have two inlets at top for airconditioner inlet (velocity inlet constant speed of 2m/s) I have two pressure outlet at the bottom at 0 gauge pressure. I have one inlet at head level at one of the chairs. Now i need to create droplet or injection of particles at the inlet or at the point in the model. it will be used to simulate a cough. Particles are inserted at a given speed at that level, could be anything, properties of the particles are NOT REQUIRED. This is an unsteady problem calculated at 0.01 Time step (10 iterations per time step) and for 10 Secs totals. I can do eeverything but i need to know how to introduce these particles. 1000 particles, droplets, which will be introduced in the cabin and see how they behave. Gravity is -9.81 in Z direction, density, temperature ignored, pressure also not required. I think this is very easy but i seem to be lost and confused. IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO INTRODUCE PARTICLES/DROPLETS INTO A 3D DOMAINS THEN PLEASE WRITE BACK, ALL INFORMATION IS USEFULL If you need additional informations please ask me i can provide that asap. hi,
use discrete particle modeling. Select a face or area where particleswill be injected. The mesh from gambit should have this face selection. Use this selection in fluent multiphase modeling - discrete particle assumption of finite diameter. What you are performing right now is an aerosol calculation. DPM works fine for this sparse spray assumption. Just make sure you do good numerics to compute the flow (like check Re and use higher order RSM models for turbulence effects etc) this is becauase, the particles travel with the predicted flow field and as long as your flow field is good(read great), the particle distribution and their trajectory will be fantastic !!
