Determine time taken for fluid flow
Hi,
I have a problem. I am currently working on a dissertation project whereby I am optimising the flow of a fluid in a thermal system. As part of this is need to speed up the fluid and minimise the time taken for it to pass through the system. How do I therefore find out how long it has taken the first fluid particle to pass through the system and exit at the other end? My system is complex in geometry, the best way to describe it is a triangular configuration, with the fluid passing down at one angle and returning at the top again through the other side (angle).
