discrete phase method (volume fraction)
Hello every body
I'm trying to simulate nanofluids in fluent by discrete phase method. But my problem is that I don't know how I can determine the volume fraction of nanoparticle in this model. Please help me if it is possible for you. thanks |
DPM for nanolfuid
Could you tell me how to setup discrete phase model for nanofluid in fluent?
Thanks |
why are u interested in the volume fraction of the particles at the injection when you are modeling everything with langrangian approach: you nedd mass flow rate, diameter injection speed and nothing more.

You are still talking about the volume fraction: in DPM you will get that if you are saving the result of lagrangian tracking on the euler grid that means by activating the mean and RMS values. In the injection you have to adjust the mass flow rate! DPM limitation is 10%
