Please i need an answer for this question
 

I want to simulate a splash of water, and i want to know if Fluent simulate water and air interaction, and can give me all the properties that i need.

And another question, how can i have Fluent for free? I am going to use it purely for my research.

And can it be used for supercomputer, is that free?

And if any of those cost money, how much is it about?

Fluent is distributed with no fixed price... need to contact local seller.... According to "Fluent for free"... forget it... legally you have no chance.... May be if you are a student and the university has a non-commercial license.....may be this is the solution..... good luck...

Yeah i thought so too... and yes i am student and the university has a non-commercial license and i can see it there in the CAD lab. But i need one at my office computer to run my simulation with no interruptions.. I guess i have to contact the university and ask them.

you can have fluent for free from any torrent or emule with unlimited license.
this is ok.

Do not do that!!!! If you work for Fluent....you will not think in that way!!!!

Yeah i used to use Emule long time ago.. and i forgot how to do the "high ID" (passing the proxy) through the Internet router.. also i need to make sure i get it from a reliable emule link and not ending up having a virus.

so yeah i thought about that.. and thanks for letting me know about it :D

lol yeah i agree with you Philipov, I used to get softwares from Emule because they cost alot i.e. mathematica cost $300, from Emule it is free. But these days i stopped doing that because almost all the softwares i need are provided by the university for free, even operating systems i.e. windows 7. so i will always tend to use the legitimate way :rolleyes: as long as they are free or pocket friendly while i am student.

And don't worry about the FLUENT company and its workers, they get their fair share of income and profits from universities and businesses (they sell thousands of licences each year)

you can try openfoam for free (open source)
but i think it hard to work
