Hi,
I am currently simulating 3D water flow in 0.1mm x 1mm channel and a larger cylindrical container. I have tried several different meshes but none of results are converging, the velocity residuals are levelling off at ~1e-2 and the continuity residual is at ~1e-1 or ~1e-8. The volume of smallest cells is very low, ~1e-12 m^3, can that cause some round-off error or loss some significant numbers or something else that the result won't converge? The number of cells is ~1e6 The only data I know is the mass flow rate at the inflow. My boundary conditions are "mass flow inlet" and "outflow" (I can with high certainty say that the flow is fully developed at the outflow). I'm having difficulties to determine operating pressure and its location. Also, should gravity be involved? |
