Hi all,

I need to simulate the door opening and closing for a freezer box, and have no idea of how to do it.

can anyone help me to solve the problem.

thanks in advance.

Hi, would you tell me more details about the aim of your study? Do you wanna study the influnce of close-open numbers in a certain period on system energy consumption, or something others?

regards,

Hi,

First let me apologize for my late reply.

yes, i want to study the influence of temperature distribution and heat transfer to surrounding when the door is opened based on number of times, lets say for 5 min for every hour and for the rest it's in closed condition.

sorry, I did not see this letter till now. I have an idea. It works like this : since you mainly focus on the effect of environment, you might treat the refrigeration simply as a cube-profile heat source in a large space. Every face of this cube has a different heat rejection rate. I suspect the door could be treated as heat sink rather than a heat source when it opens. Since the door open will play a role on the COP of the refrigeration, I thought the panerlization caused by door open should be considered in the model as while. And detailed data of this panerlization can be gained by test a real frigeration in one door-open-close-till-steady process. And you can write this data as a profile or a UDF to control the heat production rate of the cube in your model. And set up your model as an unsteady one with a time dependent heat source. But here is another thing: the above model suspect that the effect of each open can be added to the others algebracially and your UDF will include some condition sentences.
Still I am not quite sure will this model works because I did not try it. but I hope it is helpful.

Regards,
HJ Wang
