Jeremy_Wang is on a distinguished road
Hi there,
I am simulating hydrodynamic behavior in a cylindrical spouted bed with a conical base of 60o inclined angel. The air inlet diameter is 10mm, column diameter is 150mm, and column height is 4m. The particle is glass beads, the fluid is air at room temperature and pressure conditions. Eulerian-Eulerian model is employed, and viscous model is laminar because Re is small 100. BC: uniform velocity inlet (1m/s), pressure outlet.
It is expected that an internal jet is formed in spouted bed. But simulation results showed that most of particles are blown out at 0.01s. In other words, the inlet velocity should be 400m/s (4m/0.01s). It is crazy!!! Could you give me some suggestions? Now I checked drag force and gravity. The ratio of drag force to gravity is more than 100, even up to 10E+6.
Thanks for your help!
