Combustion Chamber flow - turbulence model
I'm modeling flow through a turboprop combustion chamber. Mainly recirculation zone. My first thought was to use Menter's hybrid SST model (or alternatively DES-SST), but I can see now that some people use r-k-e model for such or similars flows. I know that SST model omits k-w's free flow parameters dependency and works well with adverse pressure gradients. On the other hand i've heard that r-k-e works well in recirculation zones. Is it possible that r-k-e will predict solution closely to SST (assuming that mesh is adapt to each model)?
Unfortunatelly I will obtain experimental data in a few months so for now I have no data I can compare.
