using Fluent for permeability calculation of fiber composite
 

hi
i have recently installed fluent. my task is to find the permeability of fiber composites using fluent. as for the porous media consisting of particles we can use Eurgen equation to find viscous and inertial resistance. Can anybody help be how i can find these parameters for a composite material consisting of long fibers.

The expressions of Jackson and James or Davies claim to be applicable to fibrous porous media. Always keep in mind that permeability of fiber composites is definitively more complex then these rather simple correlations suggest.
