Lab on a chip

Dear all,

I want to model a simple lab on a chip prototype and I don't know where and how to start. My problem is mostly about how to define Stokes(creeping) flow. Can any of you help me with this? Or send me a tutorial for that?

I don't think you need a special model for creeping flow, you can just use the "laminar" viscous model. Then, you'll be solving a viscous problem without a turbulence model, which I think is what you want. Also, I'm not really sure what a "lab on a chip" is.

Dear Chris,

Thx for reply. Just one more doubt becuase in most cases the laminar flow model doesn't converge, is it correct if I set the viscosity very high? Is it still creeping flow or not?

I think it would depend on the Reynolds number.
